When visiting Nara, Japan you have the chance to see the infamous Nara park which consists of wide scenic views of gardens, tea houses and shrines including: Todai-ji, Kofuku-ji, Kasuga Taisha. The park is filled with over 1200 silka deer strolling around. There are deer senbe (deer crackers) vendors available around the park selling bundles of crackers for those who want feed the deer. The deer are friendly and very comfortable around people and will only bother you when they know you have food! I recommend spending an entire day in Nara as there is so much to see and a good way to get some exercise.
